Printed parts, and the parts that turn

This is the mechanical half of VISITOR LX-1, the body and the drivetrain, not the complete robot. Every part we print for the Builders Edition is here: the shell, the chassis, and the mounts for the cooling fan, distance sensor and NoIR camera, in the same PLA and the same purple, printed on the machines that print ours.

It rolls, too. Two N20 geared motors and their brackets, a pair of custom wheels with TPU tread, the AA battery pack and the ball caster are all in the box, so what arrives is a finished chassis waiting on electronics rather than a bag of panels.

Wheels with real grip

The wheels are printed in two materials: a rigid hub carrying the Lumalien mark, and a flexible TPU tread printed around it. Rubber where a robot needs rubber, so it climbs a rug instead of spinning on it. Each one presses onto an N20 geared motor that comes with the kit, bracket included.

Bring your own electronics

This is the body, not the robot. No Raspberry Pi, no motor controller, no camera, sensor or fan, and no screws. The mounts are cut for the parts the Builders Edition uses, so you can source them yourself, or buy the complete $699 robot and skip the shopping list entirely.
